Redesigning a medical app for IBD patients by building a design system and improving the user experience from the ground up.
I was brought on to elevate the ForYouWithYou app, a digital companion for people living with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Before introducing new features such as symptom tracking and treat-to-target functionality, I pushed on rebuilding the product foundation. This included creating a scalable Figma design system and establishing a unified design language across all platforms. A key challenge was consolidating multiple country-specific apps into one unified experience, which required careful handling of migration, multilingual translation, and alignment with medical approval processes. By streamlining workflows and coordinating closely with cross-functional teams, we successfully launched the redesigned app across several markets in January 2025, providing IBD patients with a more consistent, intuitive, and medically validated experience.
